Kent County Canoe & Kayak Club 2008 Schedule

This is the tentative Paddle Schedule for 2008.  Please note that there are a few empty dates.  If you wish to take charge of one of the empty date please let Glenn know by e-mail or snail mail.  He will update the schedule and let the rest of the membership know about the new dates.

Remember, by sending our notices by e-mail the club saves money.  This is how we remain in business without requiring dues.

Reminders for all 2008 events will be sent.

June 12^th 3pm Thursday	Tavern Creek Farm	Louise Durocher & Betty Spence Directions:  From top of High Street go west toward Rock Hall for 8 miles.  Turn right on Reese’s Corner Road.  Go two miles to stop sign.  Go STRAIGHT.  This will put you on Swan Creek Road.  Go three miles and #6631  (Tavern Creek Farm) is on the left.  Bring drinks, snacks, and chairs.
June 19^th 4pm Thursday	Grasslands Drive off Roundtop Road	Hanson & Linda Robbins Directions: Go 1.7 miles from intersection of Rt 213 on Roundtop Rd. Take left onto Roundtop Landing Rd (dirt). Go 100 yds. Take right onto Grasslands Drive. Follow signs to put-in.  This is a jeep road.  Small cars can stay on driveway, but it is a longer carry to the put-in. Put-in is a river bank with small beach below. No dock. Tide will be low at about 6:30 p.m.  What to bring: Bathing suit and towel, picnic and BYO. We will have pool, ice and hot charcoal grill available.

July 23^rd 4pm Wednesday	Buckingham Landing	Jack Diller and Shelley Diller-Lepter Lite refreshments provided, paddlers welcome to store their "snacks" at Shelley's during paddle: Directions to Shelley’s/Chestertown:No embellishments, so call me if you need landmarks or special instructions, also available on MapQuest, etc. When you enter Chestertown on Rt 213 N over the Chester River Bridge-go to the 6^th traffic light and turn right onto Route 291 East (Morgnec Road). Drive about 3 miles and turn right onto BUCKINGHAM Road Just down Buckingham you will see VENARINGHAM on your right, turn here We are the FIRST lane on the left, fence on both sides of blacktop driveway with numerals 27401 on fence-COME ON DOWN!
